Cooking Experiment

I've never claimed to be much of a cook, it just isn't my thing. However lately I've been feeling the urge to venture out and try something besides the usual dishes I make. The only thing about trying "new" is you never know if the end result will be yummy or disgusting. Around here, with all my picky eaters, the odds are even lower for success.

Tonight I decide to put myself out there and try a new dish.  I found a recipe in my Once-A-Month-Cooking cookbook and after a little tweeking, I made it my own.

The original name, Chicken Packets, doesn't sound very glamorous so I've renamed it Chicken Pocket Surprise. It has chicken, mushrooms, and cream cheese in it. Mmmmmmm.

Surprise, it was a success!

Added bonus, there was enough left over for a second meal so I threw it in the freezer and will pull it out another night when I'm drawing a blank on what to fix for dinner. That is, if I can remember it's in there and find it. My freezer could definitely be considered a danger zone.
