I wonder if he'll miss this lone little pecan. I sure hope it doesn't mean the difference between surviving or succumbing to the winter.

15 Oh nuts!
My house is surrounded by trees - pines, mimosas, sweetgums, and oaks. There is not one pecan tree anywhere around. And yet, every year I find a pecan. Yes, one lone pecan. Last year it was in the driveway. This year it is on the back patio.
While it looks like I'm being left a gift, I'm assuming some busy little squirrel, storing away nuts for the winter, has accidentally dropped one. What I really want to know is where is he getting them, just how far is he traveling with them?
I wonder if he'll miss this lone little pecan. I sure hope it doesn't mean the difference between surviving or succumbing to the winter.
